The sixteenth edition of Hungarian-Italian Symposium on Spectrochemistry will be held in Budapest (Hungary) under the auspices of the Eötvös Loránd University and the Danube Research Institute of the Centre of Ecological Research of MTA.
As a part of the bilateral governmental programme for scientific and technical co-operation between Italy and Hungary, this series of biennial events are a well-established tradition which provides scientists from both countries with a permanent forum to discuss the outcome of their studies, primarily in the field of human health and environmental protection.
The XVI Italian-Hungarian Symposium on Spectrochemistry will deal with the most recent advances in water science & technology, aquatic biodiversity field as well as with the role played to this end by innovative analytical techniques as in many instances, analytical chemistry is closely related to the studies and needs of ecological research. This will permeate every aspect of the conference.
The backbone of the Symposium will consist of approximately 40 oral presentations. Poster presentations, in turn, will be displayed for the entire duration of the event. One prominent scientist will be awarded with the Török Tibor Medal of the Spectrochemical Association of the Hungarian Chemical Society during the opening ceremony of this scientific event.
Last, but not least, a number of oral presentations will be given by prominent scientists from countries other than Italy or Hungary so as to further stimulate the mutual exchange of views and gain information on other possible approaches adopted to promote research, stimulate innovation and establish new analytical approaches in the field of water science and technology as well as ecology.
